Welcome to the KJ-66 and JF micro turbines Official Page.
Some History: I remember the school with a great friend whose great friendship I still maintain and, during the recesses and free time that we enjoyed there for the 40´s (I studied 1st. degree of Bachelor), we were devoted to draw an airplane that we planned to fly in Barcelona toward the mountain of the Tibidabo to be able to control it from there. We found some punishment for not paying attention in class and the Director confiscated us the notebook in which we drew our illusions to show it later to our parents in his next visit to the Boarding school.
For luck, and God thanks, my father was more intelligent than the
Friar and he told him that he must returned me the notebook to act in
consequence later. After a good fight and, after demonstrating me that he was
sacrificed so that I could study and not to play, he made me take a series of
measures that, after some months, they would culminate with my first model's
birth. On those moments I used the material I could get, and these were foils of brass of 0,2 mm and wood. Even a pair of years later I mounted on it a Pulse “Home Built” following the pictures of some magazines DER ADLER that I found. The Pulse started up, but in all the senses: It started well but also it started up of rennet the system of valves that had made him in the steel iron that I could found, that is to say hard tin. After this the studies already began to be hard and it was parked until in a trip to United States I found some planes of a turbine Home-built with alcohol (60´s). I worked as a crazy one but there was not way to get materials adapted so I couldn’t make anything about.
For these dates the representative of Rolls-Royce (Dep. Turbines) in
Spain was my class partner so I
could take out starting from a cut motor of exhibition, the detailed planes 1:3
of the real engine.
I began to manufacture components but another time the materials closed
me the road. Of this I had left intent a double compressor of 20 cm of diameter,
8 combustion chambers and the body of the motor fused in coquille (sand) in
Aluminum. Again, the management of the Hispanic-French companies (Jaeger and Cibié) had me remote of the turbines. Already in the year 93 the Autonomous Television (TV3) made me a report on my hobby of the airplanes and helicopters that then I flew and I commented to them that my dream was to have the same ones but with a real jet engine and not of propeller so it didn’t be until I went into retirement (living in the country’s house) when I decided to confront the definitive challenge of the turbines thanks to my previous works and to my experience in ARTÉS DE ARCOS of the different modern processes of vacuum casting, mechanized by electro erosion and all kinds of thermal treatments. A French’s company who made the rocket’s heads and pieces of high technology for MATRA; manufactured in France the best motor as for termination, but with the inconvenience of having to work with propane with all the risks that it bears it.
Later,
in a visit to Coventry (England) They picked up the glove and in few months I already had the 1st. axial turbine of the world manufactured in series for a small engine.
Soon
after it, the engines that in their day Kurt and Thomas had designed passed to
my hands to made them more mechanical by myself since they had only sought them
to be accessible for the homemade manufacturers with
With the wheel of the turbine they began to proliferate hundred first and later fans' thousands that their own engines were built. This engine began giving a push of 4.5 kg. , after 7.5 kg., followed by 10 Kg. and at the moment up to 14 Kg. with the same basic mechanics (JF-120 SuperEagle).
As a result of the quality of the engine, RAM adopted and
manufactured it in USA, Simjet in Denmark and Jet-Cat in Germany
(instead they are actually using their own components), in Austria,
Switzerland, S. Africa, New Zealand, Australia, etc. other manufacturers are
using the same design and sometimes original components. Nowadays the only turbine of proven quality
with his own design is AMT that builds in Holland and also in
USA.
Summarizing the engines that at the moment are in production for Artesjet are: (Don't forget to visit the News!!) - KJ-66: As the popular engine. -JF-160 RHINO: The newest big engine with 16 kg (35 lbs), developed in JFReactores Mexico. -JF-120 SuperEagle: The JG-100 Eagle's next step, in partnership with Felipe Nieto and JFMicroReactores from Mexico. -JG-100 Eagle: Manufactured together to Chris Mounkley from Turbo Jet Technologies of Australia. - JF-100 Falcon: Manufactured in collaboration with Felipe Nieto from Diseño y Metalmecánica, S.A.. of Mexico. - JF-50 Bee: Manufactured in collaboration with Felipe Nieto from Diseño y Metalmecánica, S.A.. of Mexico. - JF-35 Nano-Bee: The latest product in partnership with Felipe Nieto.- AJ-307 Elephant: Original of Spain in collaboration with Aerodisa of Madrid.
